I'm a son, a brother, a father, and a grandfather. I was raised and I raised my children in Massachusetts, and I see how our beautiful state has changed. Every year it gets harder for middle-class families to survive with heavy tax burdens, threats to public safety, and attacks on our rights as citizens. I'm running, because it's my duty as a citizen in service to God, Country, and Family. As a veteran of the United States Army, I served our nation. Today, I'm ready to serve as a representative for you.
PROTECTING THE UNBORN
Life is a precious gift to all, and one that must be protected. The support of our children, before birth is critical to the success of their futures further after. We must ensure that parents have rights to decisions in a child's education and medical decisions.
SUPPORTING THOSE WHO PROTECT US
Now more than ever in a world where people have turned their backs to our police we must step up and defend law enforcement and their funding. We must say the same, and provide better support for our active-duty military, homeless veterans, and other first responders - including the expansion of the family support, healthcare, and opportunity for those who have risked all to protect us.
KEEPING OUR ELECTIONS SECURE
Fair and secure elections are key to the integrity of Massachusetts public service. We must clean up our voter records, removing dead or ineligible voters, while requiring a form of I.D. to cast a ballot. Absentee ballots must remain in place for America's military servicemen, but all other voting should be done in person, on election day.
Aaron Packard is a lifelong Massachusetts native, born in Worcester in March of 1973. After graduating from Wachusett Regional High School in 1991, Packard would enlist in the United States Army serving until 1995 on active duty.
After being discharged, Aaron would go on to work as a hairdresser and a small engine repair mechanic until 2011 when he was struck by a vehicle suffering a traumatic brain injury. After this injury and years of recovery to regain full physical and intellectual function, Aaron would enter the restaurant industry as a kitchen leader.
This campaign for state representatives is not about a new career. Instead, it's about service, the duty to serve in a government for the people, by the people. That's why this campaign is based around the idea of a "Working Man for the Working People!"
The citizens of Massachusetts are tired of politicians being elected and going to Beacon Hill without ever listening to their constituents. That's the opposite of what our Founding Fathers intended for government to be. This is a grassroots campaign, based around service for and by the people of our district, of Massachusetts!
